Working Principle

The weft selection signal device of the accessories of the rapier loom sends a command signal according to the weft color cycle designed by the process to complete the weft mixing work through the weft selection rod. The weft selection device technology relies on computer technology, uses the computer to select the weft, and controls the instruction through the computer, thereby improving the working efficiency of weft selection and improving the quality of spinning.

 

 

Classification of Rapier Weaving Loom Machine

There are many types of rapier weaving loom machines which can be divided into three types: single rapier loom, double rapier loom and double-layer rapier loom according to the configuration of the rapier.

 

1. Single rapier loom. When a single rapier is used for weft insertion, a long rapier that is wider than the cloth width and its sword transmission mechanism are only installed on one side of the weaving tuck, so that the weft yarn is fed into the shed to the other side, or the empty rapier is inserted into the shuttle to reach it. After the other side holds the weft yarn, the weft yarn is pulled into the shed during the withdrawal process to complete the weft insertion. When the single rapier loom is pulling, the weft does not go through the handover process in the center of the shed, so there will be no weft handover errors and weft tension peaks caused by the handover process. The rapier structure is simple, but the size of the rapier and the stroke are both large . Most single rapiers have been replaced by double rapiers due to their low machine speed and large footprint.

2. Double rapier loom. When the double rapier is used for weft insertion, both sides of the loom are equipped with rapiers and corresponding rapier transmission mechanisms. These two rapiers are called the weft-feeding sword and the weft-receiving sword, respectively. During weft insertion, the weft feeding sword and the weft receiving sword move from both sides of the machine to the center of the shed. The weft yarn is first held by the feeding sword and sent to the center of the shed. Weft swords retreated. In the process of starting to return, the weft yarn is transferred from the weft feeding sword to the weft receiving sword, and the weft yarn is pulled through the shed by the weft receiving sword. When the double rapier is used for weft insertion, the rapier is light and compact, which is convenient for reaching the width of the loom and running at high speed. In double rapier weaving, the weft in the center of the shed is reliable, and there is generally no error. Therefore, double rapier weft insertion today is widely used in rapier weaving loom machines.

3. Double-layer rapier loom. When the double-layer rapier loom is weaving, the warp yarns form two sheds, the upper and lower sheds. The weft insertion is completed by a set of rapiers in each shed, and the upper and lower two sets of rapiers are driven by the same transmission source. The double-layer rapier loom weaving can significantly improve the labor productivity of the loom.
